Marini Begins a New Chapter with Honda

The multi-time MotoGP podium finisher joins the Repsol Honda Team on a two-year contract, replacing Marc Márquez, who moved to Gresini Ducati for the 2024 season. Marini made his first appearance aboard the Honda RC213V during post-season testing at Valencia, finishing an impressive 10th overall, just 0.703 seconds off the fastest time.

Although contractual obligations limited his public comments early on, Marini later shared his excitement about the move in an interview with Honda.

“It was a surprise when Marc announced his decision,” Marini said. “My team, my manager, and I worked quickly to understand this new opportunity. The goal is to grow together, improve the bike, and bring Honda back to winning races and world championships.”
